He is survived by: his wife Carole Auten of Sullivan; his son Gary Auten of Clinton; his stepchildren, Steve Auten of Winchester and Cheryl Auten-Nunley of Mahomet; and his brother Dick Auten of Indiana. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-granddaughter.
