He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Benton, Jr. and Dora Elizabeth Benton (Coleman); his son Joe; and his sister Laura Benton. He is survived by: his wife Tammy Benton of Lovington; his daughter Shannon Benton of Lovington; and his sister Sheila Rader (Robert) of Lovington. He is also survived by his step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
