Velma June Owens Obituary
We are sad to announce that on July 16, 2021, at the age of 78, Velma June Owens of Loves Park, Illinois, born in Rector, Arkansas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James Purl and Ella Purl (Mathis); her husband Robert Owens, Jr.; her children, Johnny Whitehead, Lonnie Whitehead and Michelle DeMarb; her grandsons, Bryan Swafford and Andrew Johnson; her siblings, Alvin, Ralph, Beaulah, Eldon, Betty, Junior and Bonnie; and the father of her children John Whitehead.
She is survived by: her children, Timothy Whitehead and Tricia Sievers (Michael); her grandchildren, MaKayla, Hunter, Parker, Jerremy, Steven, Brynn, Tyler and Zachary; and her siblings, Jerry Purl (Vicky), Wanda Stepp and Kathryn Rockwell (Roger). She is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren.
