It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Valerie M Nelson of Loves Park, Illinois, born in Rockford, Illinois, who passed away on October 9, 2020, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Edwin J. Kotche and Ramona D. Kotche (Sadewater); her husband Kenneth; and her sister Shirley Olson (Don). She is survived by: her sons, Michael Nelson (Amy) and Kelly Nelson; her grandchildren, Erika Nelson (Pat Schramm), Derek Nelson (Marissa Giannangeli), Rachel D'Aiuto (Alex), Kylie Nelson and Raven Nelson; her brother Ronald Kotche; and her niece Cami Reese. She is also survived by several other nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established.
