He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Whitman and Bertie Lou Whitman (Fowler); his brother-in-law David Schlickman; and his nephew Jeremy Bland. He is survived by: his siblings, Rick Whitman (Lori), Connie Schlickman and Sandy Krebsbach (Butch); his children, Chasity Utech-Haug, Jacob Eddy (Kelly) and Scott E. Whitman Jr.; his grandchildren, Inocencia, Rhianna Utech, Sean, Scott Haug, Jade Eddy, Dylan Whitman and Chloe Treadway; his nephews, Harry Whitman (Katie), Cody Whitman and Wyatt Whitman (Katie); his niece Clarissa McKibbins (Tim); his caregiver Martha Whitman; and his close friend Vicki Hare.
