He was predeceased by: his parents, Courtland Whitson and Minnie Whitson; and his siblings, Reginald, Richard, Roger, Pat, Dona and Carol.
He is survived by: his wife Madeline Bernardo; his children, Gregory, Michael (Sandy), Robert (Christine) and Tina Bohlin (Raymond); his grandchildren, Brandy, Josh, Kevin and Emil; his sister Marcia; and his sister-in-law Jenny. He is also survived by three great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson.
