He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, George W. Armstrong and Anna Armstrong (Aitken); his children, Bob Armstrong (Delores) of Machesney Park, Don Armstrong of Roscoe, Carol Heck (Steve) of Rockford and Gary Armstrong (Patricia); his grandchildren, Bobby Armstrong (Angela), Matthew Armstrong (Natalie), Drew Armstrong (Shelly), Jordan Heck, Jarrett Heck, Nicole Rehberg (Sean), Nicholas Armstrong and Mark Armstrong; his great grandchildren, Lillian and Harrison; his sister Maryellen Houser of Centerville, Iowa; and his daughter-in-law Valerie Armstrong. He was also cherished by numerous nieces and nephews.
