He was predeceased by: his parents, Vernon "Bud" King and Kathryn King (Scudder); his brother Gerald King; and his pet Jak. He is survived by: his wife Florence Seah; his children, Jade Seward (Jordan), Jenna Kever (Kyle) and Julianna King (Dennis Ronne); his grandchildren, Silas Seward, Bowie Seward and Lennon Kever; his brother Daniel King (Eddie); his sister-in-law Sue King; his nieces, Lori King and Krystal Hinrichs; and his nephew Jason King.
Memorials may be made to the family for a memorial to be established at the National Museum of Marine Corps in Virginia.
