“Hi Sharon, I wanted to offer my condolences on the loss of your mom. While we are family and distant I feel it is important to acknowledge your loss. My mom (Jackie) and your mom did keep in touch which I think was mostly through letters, they did enjoy communicating. I know my mom was fond of your mom.
