He was predeceased by: his parents, Branko Važić and Nada Važić; and his siblings, Mirko, Momo, Obren and Vojin.
He is survived by: his spouse Milica Važić; his children, Nenad Važić (Željka) and Vojislav Važić (Ozrenka); his grandchildren, Žana, Mladen and Filip; his great grandchildren, Penelope, Elza, Jovan and Mićo; and his sibling Mirjana.
