She was predeceased by: her parents, Fredrick Prill and Ester Prill (Cook); and her son Mark Vanderhoof. She is survived by: her husband Larry Schmitz; her daughter Rene Alongi; and her grandchildren, Michelle, Tanya, Shaun and Krystal. She is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
