It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of John W. Verstynen of Loves Park, Illinois, who passed away on August 10, 2022, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Cornelius Frances and Johanna Mary Verstynen (Driessen); and his brothers, Gerald William, Joseph Cornelius, Francis Henry and Lambert Charles.
He is survived by: his stepsons, Scott Mastricola (Donna) and Steven Mastricola (Pamela); and his granddaughter Danielle. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to OSF Healthcare Foundation, and designate it to the Children's Hospital of Illinois, area of greatest need.
