He was predeceased by: his father John W. Valerius, Sr.; his grandparents, Nicholas, Lillian Kaplanes (Baron), Edward and Mabel Valerius (Berg); his stepgrandmother Ethel Valerius; and his brother-in-law Timothy Bowler.
He is survived by: his mother Mary Ann Kaplanes; his uncle Dan; his siblings, Vicky Rowley (Jack) of Winnebago, IL, Kimberly Bowler, Kathryn Valerius and Keith Valerius (Beth); his nieces, Abigail and Cameil; and his nephew William. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Rockford Rescue Mission, The Salvation Army and The Autism Society.
