He is survived by: his children, Heather Merritt (Scott) of Johannesburg, Erin Lippitt of Rockford, Megan Lippitt of Loves Park and Ian Lippitt of Rockford; and his grandchildren, Rory, Maia Merritt of Johannesburg and Dylan Lippitt of Rockford.
