She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas C. Young and Edna R. Young (Allen); and her spouse Russell A. Welsh. She is survived by: her children, Desa Ciufo (Douglas) of Loves Park, James Welsh (Linda) of Bastrop, TX and Diane Welsh of Loves Park; her grandsons, Eric Welsh (Kerri) of Houston, TX, Evan Welsh (Amber) of Austin, TX and Michael Chalmers of Charleston, SC; and her great grandchildren, Susan, Owen, Lucy, Dylan and Kieran. She is also survived by relatives and close friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to Field of Honor in Loves Park.
