He was predeceased by: his fathers, Samuel Mize and Lloyd Mize; and his siblings, Bob, Samuel, Zerena, Frankie and Mary.

He is survived by: his wife Judy Tucker; his daughters, Kimberly Darr (Jim) and Amberly Null (Dale); his grandchildren, Sara, Kyle Darr and Kayleigh Null; and his sisters, Sue Endebrock and Bitsy Rice.
