She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Joseph and Loretta Szczepanski (Gaul); her husband Robert Francis Kruse; her stepfather Walter Michalak; and her brothers, Walter J. Szczepanski (Dolores) and Robert J. Szczepanski (Geri).
She is survived by: her children, Karen L. Kruse (Mark Stampfl) of Schaumburg and Robert W. Kruse (Susan) of Duluth, Minnesota; her grandsons, Robert D. Kruse (Kim) of Sykesville and James C. (LiLiana) of Colorado Springs, Colorado; and her brother LeRoy Michalak (Donna) of Joliet. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Memorial donations are suggested to the Chicago Fire Department Gold Badge Society and will be accepted through the funeral home.
