He was predeceased by: his parents, John W. Weide and Beatrice Weide (Happold). He is survived by: his wife Helen Weide of Lostant; his children, Edward J. Weide (Joy) of Magnolia, Christopher Weide (Cassie) of Magnolia and Patricia Harrison (Bruce) of McNabb; and his grandchildren, Michelle Pashos (Tony), Krista Long (Skylar), Nichole Ebener (Andrew), Matthew Weide, Derek Weide, Myranda Weide and Michael Weide. He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or St. Jude.
