He was predeceased by: his sisters, Helen Ayello, Caroline Urbano and Lenore Barajas. He is survived by: his wife Carol Alvarez; his children, Debra Alvarez, Jacqueline and Julius Alvarez, Jr.; his grandchildren, Joshua Goldsand, Tania Jilek (John) and Lawrence Kordik; his great grandchildren, Jack and Cole Jilek; and his siblings, Peter Escato (Mary), Armendina Garcia and Olga Ayello.
