She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank M. Claeys and Mae J. Claeys (Girt); her former husband Leo B. Smith; her son Patrick; and her stepson Michael.
She is survived by: her husband Jay W. Hammond; her children, Richard (Betti Lemmer) of Galesburg, Bernard Smith (Paula Mead Johnson) of Galesburg, Tim B. Smith of Bradenton, FL and Cynthia Detmers (Paul) of Knoxville; her brother Michael Claeys (Shauna) of Galesburg; and her stepchildren, Steven Hammond (Penny) of Rock Island, Linda Skinner of Aledo, Robin Bilbao (Paul) of Midwest City, OK and Dawn Hammond of Seaton. She is also survived by eleven step grandchildren; thirteen step great grandchildren; and five step great great grandchildren.
Due to restrictions surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic, face masks, social distancing, and limited capacity will be enforced.
