He was predeceased by: his parents, Jay Winfield and Mary Ethel Hammond, Sr. (Chambers); his wife Marie Elizabeth Smith (Claeys); and his son Michael. He is survived by: his children, Linda Skinner of Aledo, Robin Bilbao (Paul) of Midwest City, OK, Dawn Hammond of Seaton, Illinois and Steve Hammond (Penny) of Rock Island, Illinois; and his brother Dan Ragon (Vera) of Galesburg. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; and 10 great great grandchildren.
