She was predeceased by: her parents, Linus Hammond and Irene Hammond (Hennessey); and her husband John J Schmidt. She is survived by: her son Dr. Kevin Schmidt (Peg) of Oak Brook, IL; her grandchildren, Nicole (Jason Aguiar), Katie (Chris Towers), Lisa and Keith; her daughters, Carol (Steve Cade) of Lombard, IL and Cathy (Don Klink) of Hinsdale, IL; and her grandchildren, Elizabeth and Brian.
Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family (for donation to St Edmond Catholic School Foundation in Fort Dodge, Peace Hospice in Naperville, IL and Beacon Hill Retirement Community in Lombard, IL).
