He was predeceased by: his wife Mildred; his parents, James Burns and Gertrude Burns; and his siblings, James, Darwin, David and Delores.
He is survived by: his children, Cathie Plevney (Robert), Jeff Burns (Barbara), Debra Cagle (Jack), Linda Cunningham (Joseph), Cindi Stoecker (Ted) and Sharon Southard (Mark). He is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
