He was predeceased by: his wife Harriet Lucas; his sister Rosemary Smith; and his parents, Ward Lucas and Ruth Lucas (Wilkerson). He is survived by: his children, Lora Boburka (Dan) of Glendale Heights, Carin Lucas of Countryside, John Lucas (Diane) of Coppell, Sara Lucas of Chicago and Elizabeth van Es (Pieter) of Laguna Beach, California; his grandchildren, Grant (Lauren), Erin, Alyssa (Joe), Matthew (Ashley), Tori, Shannon, Alec, Phoebe and Owen; his brother Wallace Lucas; his niece Dianna Lucas; and his nephews, Shawn Smith and Rob Runyon. He is also survived by 8 great grandchildren.
