George M. Ferjak, age 84, passed away peacefully on September 29, 2021 holding hands with Mark and Michelle.
Beloved husband for 55 years to Antoinette (Toni) Ferjak (Kalemba). Loving Father to Mona (Bob) Konrath and Mark (Michelle) Ferjak.
Devoted Dziadzia to Kalyn and Hanna Konrath, Logan, Erik and Odin Ferjak. They gave him an immense amount of pride, joy and happiness. George was an enormous help to Mona and Michelle when the grandchildren were little and introduced them all to French fries, cake, cookies, candy and Dippin’ Dots.
Proceeded in death by his parents Joseph and Mary (Kimak) and sisters Susan and Marian. Brother to Elaine, Joseph, Edward and Michael. Uncle to many nieces and nephews and a good neighbor and friend to all.
George was an alumnus of Angel Guardian Orphanage, Army Veteran, worked for Rheem Manufacturing for 30 years and enjoyed 31 years of retirement. Over the many decades as a dog owner, he enjoyed taking them for walks at Marquette Park, the Illinois Prairie Path and around his neighborhood in Villa Park.
Funeral mass on October 30, 2021 - 10:0 am at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 1025 E. Madison Street, Lombard, IL. Celebration of life to follow.
