He was predeceased by: his child Victoria Marie. He is survived by: his wife Geraldine A.; his children, Joseph (Cindy) of Florida, Stephen (Lisa) of Arizona, Susan Perkins (James) of Lombard, James (Susan) of Arizona, Carol Flynn of Winfield, Judith Borsom of Lombard, Laurie Ellis (Ralph) of Lombard, Edward (Nenette) of Elgin, Mary Agliato (Nick) of Lombard, Kathleen Loftus-Marek (John) of Carol Stream and Patricia Armstrong-Campbell (Becky) of Downers Grove; his brother Robert (Dolores) of California; and also Hartjen. He is also survived by his 28 grandchildren and his 25 great-grandchildren.
