“Eleanor was a dear friend. Her parents were from neighboring towns in Germany from my father. Since they lived nearby the German people suggested that our family meet her family. Once the families got together in the early 60's we became friends. Eleanor would sit with us in the kitchen and play games for hours and was like a sweet aunt to us. When I took a job in Chicago our friendship continued and we occasionally got together for meals. She will be greatly missed! Al Kaltenthaler”
