He is survived by: his wife Arlene Mueller; his children, Jeffrey Hesterman (Lynette) of Alabama, Beth Paluch (late David) of Kentucky and Tim Hesterman (Leslie) of Oak Park; his grandchildren, Lauren, Sarah, Phillip, Julie, David, Lindsay, Nathan, Caroline and Katharine; and his brother Duane Hesterman (late Bonnie) of Glen Ellyn. He is also survived by twelve great-grandchildren.
