He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Kathleen "Kay"; his children, Lois Valavanis (Jason), Joyce Szymaniak, Janet Szymaniak and Charles Szymaniak, Jr; his grandsons, Victor and Max Valavanis; and his siblings, Ellen Jensen (Carl) and Stanley Szymaniak (Deloris). He was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.
