He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Harriet; his children, Deborah Tarpey, Charles A. Tarpey, Jr. (Karen), Michael Tarpey (Thais) and Richard Tarpey (Myra); his grandchildren, Eddie Michael, Nicolle, Corry, Kristina, Melissa, Christina and James; his great grandchildren, Kyle, Jayden, Khalli, Declan, Callum, Audrey and Adrianna; his great great grandchild Victoria; and his sisters, Mary Therese Oliver (late Marc) and Arlene Ashoff (late Bud).
Visitation was held on Monday, October 7th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, October 8th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Gibbons Funeral Home (134 S York St, Elmhurst, IL 60126). A prayer was held on Tuesday, October 8th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Tuesday, October 8th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Saint Domitilla Catholic Church (4940 Washington St, Hillside, IL 60162).
