He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Pence and Wanda Pence (Fisher); his spouse Vieva Joyce Lindgren; his son Stanley Fisher Pence; and his grandchildren, Kade Pratt and Meredith Beals.
He is survived by: his children, Susan Pratt of LaHarpe, Steve Pence (Julie) of Lomax, Sherry Beals (Kevin) of LaHarpe, Sally Boyle (Rodney) of Burlington and Shirley Morrison (Rod) of Cameron, Missouri; his grandchildren, Mike Pratt (Amy), Cassie Pratt, Sasha Kloepper (Andrew), Shannon Pence (Felecia), Amber Duncan (Jason), Drew Pence (Erica), Skyler Pence (Mariah), Samantha Howe (Tyler), Madison Mershon (Kevin), Mitch Beals (Brooke), Mason Beals, Jessica Malone (Nick), Fisher Boyle (Ashley Demers), Tucker Morrison, Carter Morrison and Sam Morrison; his sister Jane Buchanan of Florida; and his siblings-in-law, Harold Lindgren (Barbara) and Mary Ann Lindgren. He is also survived by twenty-two great-grandchildren.
A memorial fund has been established for the Terre Haute United Methodist Church or the Lomax Fire Department.
