He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Spiker and Helen Spiker (Bowlyou); his wife Lois M. Peasley; his stepdaughter Peggy; and his siblings, John, Donald and Vivian.
He is survived by: his daughters, Lari Jo Smith (Jeff) of Media and Traci McKoon (Shawn) of Mediapolis, Iowa; his stepchildren, Steve McIntire (Tyyne) of Moline, Vickie McWhorter (Randy) of Geneseo and Christine Hanson (Richard) of Morton, Illinois; his grandchildren, Ryan Smith (Megan), Adam Smith (Jenny), Colton Smith (Jodi), Raychel Messer (Curtis) and Seth McKoon; and his sister Sandie Dumse of Danville, Iowa.. He is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren.
A memorial fund has been established Southeast Iowa Regional Hospice or Henderson County Hospice.
