He is survived by: his wife Thelma Smothers of Logan; his children, Loretta Rice (Steve) of Logan, Jack D. Smothers of Logan and Lisa Morse (Zandle); his grandchildren, Melissa Boukezzoula (Naoufel), James Eston Pense, Paula Arpasi (Thomas), Daniel Rice and Chloe Morse; his great grandchildren, Mia Arpasi, Kaven and Aubrie Pense; and his siblings, Delmas Smothers of Greenfield, IN and Anna Mae Wilson of Logan. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
