It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Walter Purdy Jr. of Lockport, Illinois, born in Joliet, Illinois, who passed away on May 28, 2024, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, Walter shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Walter farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Sr. Purdy and Lorraine Purdy; and his sister-in-law Patricia Scully. He is survived by: his wife Donna; his sons, Wally Purdy (Joyce) and Bill Purdy (Katie); his grandchildren, Jenna, Tyler and Jack; and his sister Lynn Purdy. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
