She was predeceased by: her daughter Jessica; her granddaughter Bella; her father Ray Kerley; and her brother Edward (Vicki). She is survived by: her husband Joseph Morgan; her children, Holly (Bob), Stephen (Dawn), Courtney (Robert), Caitlyn (Jasmine), Samantha, Brian (Julia), Melissa (Nicholas), Dakota and Abigail; her mother Shirley Kerley; and her siblings, Richard (Nancy) and Rita (David). She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent in Shirley's name to Lurie Children's Hospital.
