It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Michael A. Cardenas of Lockport, Illinois, who passed away on May 18, 2021, at the age of 36, leaving to mourn family and friends. He is survived by: his daughter Liliana Helena Cardenas; his parents, Jose Angel Cardenas and Carla Jean Poplawski; his siblings, Christie Favela (Ignacio) and Veronica Alberti (Daniel); his nieces and nephews, Jesus Tarcisio Sanchez, Taylor Genesis Favela, Aidan Isaac Finkle and Lilah Rose Finkle; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Noah Leo Sanchez and Finn Eli Capone. He is also survived by many relatives and countless friends.
