She was predeceased by: her parents, John Ahrens and Anna Ahrens; and her husband James Mahar. She is survived by: her brother John "Jack" Ahrens (Gail); her nieces, Amy Rutter (Jeff) and Beth Ahrens; her nephew Drew Ahrens; and her great-nieces, Jena McKinnon and Jamie Calandriello.
