He was predeceased by: his father Martin Medema. He is survived by: his wife Doris; his children, Julie Gabriel (William) of Joliet, Jill Boll (Kevin) of Metairie, Dirk Medema (Shawna) of Fair Oaks and Diana Jackinoski (Richard) of Lockport, Illinois.; his grandchildren, Jaime Gabriel, Amy Martin (Colin), Christopher, Allison Boll, Addison Medema, Richard III, Jennifer, Adam and Cara Jackinoski; his great grandchildren, Andrew Gabriel, Nash, Carson and Caroline Martin; his sister-in-law Joyce Miers (late Glenn); and his nephews, Craig (Melinda), Kim Miers (Beth) and Paul Miers (Ann). He is also survived by his family and friends.
