We bid farewell to Kenneth R. Franz of Lockport, Illinois, born in Chicago, Illinois, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on March 21, 2025 at the age of 73. Kenneth touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo Franz and Gertrude Franz (Nee Nauseda); and his brother Ronald Franz. He is survived by: his wife Karen Franz (Nee Freitag); his children, Christopher Franz (Shelly), Genevieve Marrs (Justin), Amy Kelly (Dan), Brian Franz, Peter Franz (Natalie) and Patrick Franz; his grandchildren, Jason Collett, Melora Thomason, Sarah, Kaylee Marrs, Ben, Isaac Kelly, Jaxon, Kamden and Hudson Franz; his siblings, Allan Franz and Carole Garrett (late Harry); his aunt Ruth; and his cousins, Cyndie Christie and Harold Nauseda. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, March 27th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the O'Neil Funeral Home Chapel (1105 E 9th St, Lockport, IL 60441). A memorial service was held on Friday, March 28th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Hill Lutheran Church (925 E 9th St, Lockport, IL 60441).
