With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Joseph Vlahovic of Lockport, Illinois, born in Chicago, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 23, 2025 at the age of 70. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Linda M. Vlahovic (Nee Vanoskey); and his parents, Josip Vlahovic and Daniela Vlahovic (Nee Krizan). He is survived by: his children, Joseph Vlahovic (Sarah Connolly) of Skokie, Michelle Vlahovic (Kevin Riff) of Lockport and Tony Vlahovic (Nicole) of Lemont; his grandchildren, Alex Schulthies, Joey Vlahovic, Leah and Brooke Vlahovic; his siblings, Antonia Pettit, Mihela Vlahovic-McIlvene (Leon McIlvene), John Vlahovic and Peter Vlahovic (Anica); his mother-in-law Emily Vanoskey (Nee Stock); his siblings-in-law, Joe Vanoskey (Sheryl) and Sandy Vanosky; and his nieces and nephews, Isaac, Gabriel, Isabella McIlvene, Maja, Jana Vlahovic and Dan Vanoskey (Katie).
A reception will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Lockport American Legion (15052 Archer Ave, Lockport, IL 60441).
In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Joseph's name would be greatly appreciated.
