He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie McGilvery and Ella Jane McGilvery; and his siblings, Billy Roy McGilvery, Willie C. McGilvery, Larry McGilvery, Tom McGilvery, Rogers McGilvery, Josephine Myers and Rosemary Cureton.
He is survived by: his wife Clementine McGilvery; his children, Soundra McGilvery Jones (Michael), Sandy Moore (Alex), Dwight Stribling (Dorothy) and Jonathan McGilvery; and his brother Obbie McGilvery (May). He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
