It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John B. Gasper of Lockport, Illinois, born in Aurora, Illinois, who passed away on September 20, 2023, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Otto Gasper and Mildred Gasper (Nee Fetzer); and his brother Jerry Gasper. He is survived by: his wife Rosemary Gasper (Nee Dibenardo); and his children, Bruce Gasper (Stephanie) of Crest Hill and Susan Gasper of Wheaton. He is also survived by family members and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to Lightways Hospice in John's name would be greatly appreciated.

“I first met John and Rose coaching Bruce and Sue in Lockport Pee Wee league T Ball over 50 years ago. I developed a friendship with John and Rose then that has lasted ever since.John gave me my first teaching job by hiring me as a substitute teacher at Lockport High School in 1973. Then later on when I applied as AD I’m sure John put in a good word. For me .For that I am forever grateful. I admired John as a father husband and administrator. God Bless John and my sympathies to Rose and Family”
