He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Betty (Nee Lim); his son Ian Tan; and his siblings, Ling Ling Tan Ang (Cresensio Ang), Chok Bin Tan (Sally Yap Tan), Ngo Bin Tan (Virgincita Chan Tan), Alex Tan (Kathy Tan), Bok Bin Tan, Chi Bien Tan, Pue Nuy Tan (Victor Chan), Chin Bin Tan and Cho Bin Tan. He was also cherished by many loving nieces, nephews and cousins.
