He was predeceased by: his parents, Alex Smego and Sophia Smego; and his brothers, Leonard Smego (late Edna) and Thomas Smego. He is survived by: his wife Catherine Smego; and his children, Francis Smego (Gayle Wagner), Cyndee Levy (Kenneth), Michael Smego (Kelly) and Patrick Smego (Susan). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
