He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell Berkes and Geraldine Berkes (Nee Gunn); and his siblings, Thomas Berkes and Donna Berkes. He is survived by: his wife Ann Berkes (Nee Ferrucci); his daughters, Valerie Jackson (Simon) and Lindsay Mulligan (Ryan); his grandchildren, Allison, Luke, Dominic, Zach, Arianna and McKenna; his siblings, Robert Berkes (Wendy) and Mary Dayhoff; and his brother-in-law Al Ferrucci (Nancy).
Visitation was held on Monday, December 30th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the O'Neil Funeral Home Chapel (1105 E 9th St, Lockport, IL 60441). A funeral service was held on Monday, December 30th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, December 30th 2024 at the Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery (20953 W Hoff Rd, Elwood, IL 60421).
