He was predeceased by: his parents, Reinhart Emery and Verna Emery (Olson); his siblings, Robert, Richard, Marilyn (Jirsa) and Thomas; and his nephew Thomas (Jirsa).
He is survived by: his wife Sharon Emery (Stevens); his children, Julie Collins (Edward), Jeff Emery (Debra Melvin) and Joel Emery (Beth Lindquist); his granddaughter Layne Locke (James); his great grandchildren, Wyatt, Elsie and June Locke; his brother William; and his sister-in-law Joan Emery. He is also survived by 15 nieces and nephews.
