With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Bette Jo McCowan of Lockport, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 8, 2024 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her daughter Diane Shogren; and her parents, John Oster and Geneva Oster (Grieve). She is survived by: her children, Richard McCowan (Roberta), Cathy Brandt (Oliver) and Don McCowan (Kathy); her grandchildren, Melissa Brandt (Kyle Fraser), Kevin, Keith McCowan, Jessica Larsen (Jimmy Erdmier), Jordan and Tyler Shogren; her son-in-law Steve Shogren; and her sisters, Mae Ann Greenman and Geneva Jeanne Cagwin (late Rollie).
In lieu of flowers, donations in Bette Jo's memory to First Congregational Church of Lockport or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital would be appreciated.
