He was predeceased by: his parents, Anthony Hylek and Natalie Hylek (Nee Olszta); and his brothers, Michael and John Hylek. He is survived by: his wife Linda Hylek (Nee Ording); his daughters, Jamie Dorion (Dan) and Shelley Hylek (Mark Faison); his grandsons, Ryan and Sam Dorion; and his sister-in-law Gail Cox (Dave). He is also survived by family members and friends.
