With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Helen Nicol (Little York, Illinois), born in Cameron, Illinois, who passed away on April 22, 2020 at the age of 98. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold Sr. Nelson and Mary Jane Nelson (McKelvey); her husband George Richard Nicol; her son Richard Gilmore Nicol; her siblings, Harold Nelson, Jr. and Gertrude Hickok; and her son-in-law John McCann.
She is survived by: her son Sean Alan Nicol of Omaha, NE; her daughter-in-law Patty Nicol-Johnson (Glenn) of Monmouth, IL; and her grandchildren, Lindsay Higgerson (Jared) of Rio, IL, Corey McCann of Knoxville, IL, Melissa Flower (Jerry) of San Antonio, TX, Ashley Dermer (Ty) of Monmouth, IL, Jenny Jensen (Jeff) of Roseville, IL and Eric Nicol of Monmouth, IL. She is also survived by 11 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be given to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Hospice Compassus and may be sent to the Funeral Home.
