He was predeceased by: his parents, William H. Blaeuer and Velma V. Blaeuer (Niehaus); his nephews, David Clark Sinclair and William "Bill" Davis Sinclair; and his brother-in-law James Sinclair.

He is survived by: his former spouse Lizbeth Ann Grayson; his wife Liz; his sister Mary Kay Sinclair (Mary Howard) of Coffeen, IL; his niece Ann Sinclair (Riet van Ingen) of New Berlin, IL; his niece-in-law Christine Sinclair of Litchfield, IL; his great-nieces, Alisha Sinclair Heyen (Tyler) of Raymond, IL and Emily Sinclair Reck (Andrew) of Litchfield, IL; and also, Eleanor Heyen and Charlie Reck.

There they raised Foundation Quarter horses, invested in real estate and enjoyed the beautiful mountains.
